River Witham Navigation

Description of River Witham Navigation: Navigable for 36 miles from Lincoln, High Bridge (the Glory Hole), where it joins the Fossdyke Canal, to the mouth of the river at Hobhole Drain

History of River Witham Navigation: Promoted by Acts of 1671, 1762, 1808, 1812, 1826 and 1829. Boston Grand Sluice was opened in 1766.
