Went shopping in Thorne again before setting off through the many swing and lift bridges. Had lunch on the move and moored just before the lock. Saw the lock keeper who told me we could go through at 9.30 tomorrow morning, anotherr boat "Henry II" is due to go through at that time. Had a look round the small village and called into the small general store. A mostly dry day with sunny periods andd a short light shower.

From Keadby Lock No 17 to Torksey Junction arriving at 1:05 pm. The time taken was 3 hours 30 minutes. 27.5 miles and 0 locks, averaging 7.86 lock/miles per hour. Totals for this voyage are 750 hours 32 minutes. total cruising time, 100 miles and 1045 locks, averaging 1.53 lock/miles per hour.

Left Keadby in the company of the narrowboat Henry II from Sawley. A fast run up with the tide. Cruisers were in the lock at West Stockwith as we passed and later caught us up and passed us near Gainsborough. Moored on the transit pontoon and went to the White Swan for lunch. Beryl cut my hair after lunch. A chilly and misty start to the day soon gave way to sunshine and a warmer afternoon. General cloud cover by 5 pm.
