Kilgetty Canal

Waterway's place in Pembrokeshire :

An unfinished canal that was entirely within Pembrokeshire.

Waterway Description:

A proposed short canal from Kilgetty to the sea. Started but not opened.

Llechryd Canal

Waterway's place in Pembrokeshire :

The canal joined the river at Llchryd on the Pembrokshire and Ceredigion border. Any more details of the course of this canal would be welcome.

Waterway Description:

Was a six mile cut from the river Teifi near Llechryd, Cardiganshire, to a tinplate works at Castle Malgwyn. Thought to have carried barges but may have been a water channel.

History:

Built about 1772.
