Ripon Canal

Description of Ripon Canal: Runs 2 miles from Ripon to the junction with the River Ure at Oxclose Lock

History of Ripon Canal: Promoted by Acts of 1767 and 1820. In was abandoned in 1955 and most of it was restored in 1986 with the final length into Ripon Basin being opened in September 1996.
