Description of Lydney Canal: A one mile length of canal from Lydney Harbour (tidal basin), through a lock then on to Lydney Station.
History of Lydney Canal: Promoted under an Act of 1810 and opened in 1813. Originally connected to Pidcock's Canal, which ran a further 1.5 miles.
