Had lunch on the move and moored on the pontoon above West Bridge alongside May Bee, as there were no spare mooring places. Went into town for some shopping and found plenty of space when we came back. A sunny day, warm in the afternoon.

We spent yesterday getting a new stern tube and prop shaft fitted (£354.28) and in the evening had dinner with Fred and Joyce at the Admiral Nelson. This morning we called into the Marina for pumpout (£7.50) and diesel (£38.25 for 98 litres at 39p a litre) then we filled with water by the Stop House. It seems there has been a breach in canal at Thrupp so instead of going down the Oxford Canal to the Thames, as we had planned, we headed towards the Ashby Canal.

After lunch we went down to Brownsover Bridge to moor for Tesco's. We then discovered a problem with the bilge pump. After shopping I tried to sort out why the bige pump was not working but without success. We came on to moor at Newbold and went to the Barley Mow for dinner. A warm sunny day.

After lunch checked and tightened the bolts on the 240 volt altenator and found that the pully wheel was loose.
