Cardiff Parks

Roath Park is a long, thin, and varied park on the north-east side of the city. We had a house opposite the recreation ground there when we lived in Cardiff. The park also has formal gardens, a greenhouse, lake and wild gardens.

Left: The Scott Memorial in the Roath Park Lake. Scott's ship stopped at Cardiff for coal on his last voyage to the Antarctic, and had dinner at a city hotel before departing.

Cefn Onn Park

Left: Cefn Onn Park is about three miles from the city centre and has wonderful displays of rhododendrons and azaleas in May.
