Zion National Park, Utah, became a National Park in 1909. The name Zion was given to the area by Isaac Behunin, an early Mormon settler, who called Little Zion after the heavenly city of God. In the magnificent scenery he saw the natural temples of God. Right: The Red Arch Mountain.
