The Grand Canyon (Northside)

The north rim of the Grand Canyon, Arizona, is less popular than the south rim but is still well worth a visit. Because this side of the canyon is over 1,000 feet higher than the south rim the road to the Park Entrance remains closed until May. Having come from Lake Powell where the temperatures were around 100° F it was strange to see piles of snow beside the recently reopened road.
