Moscow Canal

Our 2007 voyage from Moscow to St Petersburg started at the Moscow Northern River Terminal on the Moscow Canal. For more information about this voyage see the Russian Cruise article on my waterways website.

Right: A stop place on the Moscow Canal. From the tower it is possible to raise an underwater concrete gate to isolate a length of canal for maintenance or in an emergency.
