Rome (Roma) the capital of Italy also contains the independent state of Vatican City, which includes St Peter's and the Vatican, under the authority of the Pope. I have only included a few shots from the many famous sites in the Eternal City Right: A fountain in St. Peter's Square with St. Peter's church in the background. These pictures were taken in the morning before the square became crowded with other tourists. |
